I don't purrsonally have a cat of my own, but my best friend has the most awwdorable calico feline you've ever seen. She's cuddly, she's sweet, and she's ultra needy–a feline rarity, I've heard–and she's obsessed with sleeping on her hoomans. So behold, the day that converted me into an official cat person.

I was watching Suzan for the day and working at the house. With my laptop ajar, my coffee piping hot, and ideas flowing from my fingertips and into the keyboard, sweet ol' Suzie saw her opportunity to be a pesky, yet purrfect companion for the day. She pawed my hands and meowed constantly, begging for uppies onto my lap. And as she curled into a tiny, orange croissant on my lap, I knew that the day's productivity was long-gone.
Meowtivation eluded me, but the cozy comforts of a cat dragging you onto the snuggle bus cannot be ignored.
